Moorea is nine miles west of Tahiti and one of the most beautiful islands in the world.
Just inside the pass into Opunohu Bay on the north coast of Moorea is one of my favorite
anchorages in 15’ to 20’ of warm water so clear it seems as though you are floating on air.
It is an easy swim to snorkle on the reef and the beauty, as it is in Rio de Janeiro, is unworldly. You feel as though you are on another planet.
Although I have sailed to Moorea on all of my boats, these photos were taken during my last visit in 2004 in THE HAWKE OF TUONELA.
