Evanston: advertisements for myself
Evanston: advertisements for myself
I stole the heading from the title of a 1959 autobiography by Norman Mailer. You can’t copyright titles, so I’m safe. I read Mailer’s book at the time, but recall nothing except the title.
I don’t much care to advertise myself, but there has been a recent Webb Chiles cottage industry and I thought some you might be interested.

The December issue of LATITUDE 38 has an interview starting on page 88. The issue can be viewed online at:

There are some errors in this, but they are not mine and they aren’t important. However, I don’t think I will ever pose with a Zen t-shirt again. I was caught off guard.
The January issue of CRUISING WORLD has an article I wrote about my first days with GANNET. This is not to my knowledge available online, but I’ll add it to the articles page when it is no longer current.
And next week I’m to do a telephone interview that will eventually be on Australia’s The Sailing Podcast.
This is more Webb Chiles than the world wants or needs, so I’ll end this post.
