We are leaving tomorrow to drive to North Carolina to visit Carol’s family.  We expect to return on December 31.  I’m not taking a computer with me, so the next post will probably not be until after January 1.

        The photograph above was taken through our windows.  I’m not sure it is successful, but I have been struck by the problem of distinguishing between the reflection of what is inside from what is seen directly outside, a variation of illusion versus reality.
