Cambridge: two weeks from today
Cambridge: two weeks from today
Two weeks from today I expect to be anchored off Bora-Bora, where the above photograph was taken five years ago.
The photograph on the home page of this site was also taken there, but facing west.
I emailed Raiatea Carenage a few hours ago to remind them that I will arrive on Friday, September 4, and to ask that THE HAWKE OF TUONELA be put back in the water on Monday, September 7, assuming the rigging work has been completed. I’ve already had a reply that the work is done and they will be ready to launch me on September 7.
From the very first time I contacted them, the people at Raiatea Carenage have responded promptly and done exactly what they said they would exactly when they said they would. Any boat owner knows how rare this is.
If they get me in the water in the morning, I’ll be at Bora-Bora by early afternoon, in time to snorkel before a sunset drink in one of the most beautiful anchorages in the world.
