Evanston:  myself again

I have been back here for almost four weeks and only in the past few days have I felt myself again.  This afternoon I even did my full work-out for the first time since October, when I only did it once.  Only once in September too.  That month my excuse was that I was sailing.  In November it was my back.  Not sure why I didn’t work-out once THE HAWKE OF TUONELA was on her mooring in October.  Even if I stick to my three times a week routine for the rest of this month, I won’t reach fifty for the year.  Sailing around the world messes up routines.

I came across a promising ten minute exercise set in the Chicago Tribune online.  Although it apparently originates at Livestrong.com, I can’t find it on that site.  The Tribune link is:  http://www.chicagotribune.com/health/chi-10-min-workout-pg,0,2155867.photogallery.

----------

Two days ago I walked through the cemetery to the lake.

As usual I had the place to myself, and saw several rectangles of fresh black earth surrounded by grass:  new graves.

A line of dilatory geese was floating single file on the lake a hundred yards offshore.

On the way back to our condo, I passed a small tree still full  of leaves.  The last hold-out against winter.  Light snow is predicted for tomorrow.
